Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan

The Stormwater Pollution Protection Plan  (SWPP) aims to comply with the requirements set out in the eThekwini Municipality: Stormwater Management By-Law, 2017. The SWPP included a qualitative risk assessment of the current conditions. The methodology followed includes:

• Extensive questioning of employees, safety representatives and managers on the implementation of the stormwater management and relevant documentation and policies as well as training and information regarding process/materials and related hazards.
• Using observations and experience to audit the extent and effectiveness of existing controls and SHE management systems;
• Visiting each area and carefully evaluating the existing stormwater management status of the area.
